About

Hello! This is a site for sharing information that is important to Bellevue residents and visitors, and if you have a message that you’d like to share with the community, or an event you think we should cover, please reach out!

Some background: I had previously been elected to a neighborhood board and did that for several years. I valued that opportunity to share information and get answers for any community member who showed up. After coming to Bellevue, I started attending our public meetings and created a newsletter to make the city’s work more approachable and invite friends and neighbors to participate.

The more I learned about middle housing in early 2025, the more urgently I felt the need to get information into the hands of the community (so this website was born). I still think the gap between the community’s expectations about middle housing and the policies we ended up with is enormous, but now I’m hoping to raise awareness about other things where an engaged community can shape city policy. I believe the city leadership will listen to the community if we express strong opinions.

Even if housing is not your issue, I hope you will pitch in to help our community make smart choices in the areas *you* think are important. I chose the name New Bellevue because we are on the brink of potentially enormous transformations, and we can maximize our potential for making this a wonderful place to live if we engage with our community members and their wide range of perspectives and experiences. I’m so grateful for the hard work and insight of Bellevue residents who came before me, and I’m looking forward to paying it forward as much as I can. Please let me know what you care about!

Disclosure: I am also running for City Council, Position 6, at least until the Primary Election (it is a four-way race). The campaign should not affect the topics or writing on this website.
